| Job Description: | Seeking a long-term substitute social worker through 6/26/25 to support students and families in grades 9-12 at East High School. Provide support, counseling, and case management services to individual students to address personal, social or emotional issues related to their educational progress and development. Works closely with stakeholders in the planning and program development for at-risk students. Provides counseling and crisis intervention for individuals and small groups. Serves as a liaison between home and school. Makes referrals to community agencies services, and programs for additional services when appropriate. Responds to a range of mental health issues with best practice interventions. |
| Required Qualifications: | Current/In Process NYS Certification in School Social Work |
| Preferred Qualifications: | Experience working in school settings, with child and family counseling, and coordination with community agencies/resources. Effective communication skills. Strong time management. Compassionate, inclusive, respectful. Maintains a high level of confidentiality. Experience working with parents and families. |
| Rate of Pay: | From $41,040-$52,800 per WTA contract |
