Job Description: Ria Health is dedicated to bringing effective and affordable treatment options to people struggling with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). Be part of an innovative medical program that treats AUD through telemedicine with privacy, convenience, and compassion. Support our members as they cut back on drinking and rebuild their quality of life. Our evidence-based program provides a safe and effective alternative to traditional 12-step based approaches and includes physician managed treatment with FDA approved medications, individual coaching, at-home progress tracking, and family and social support through our mobile app. Hundreds of members have joined the Ria Health program and achieved their goals of reducing their drinking and improving their overall health and wellness. We value active listening, non-judgmental communication, empathy, privacy, and service. We are seeking a Certified Recovery Counselor who shares these values and wants to be a positive force of change by helping people improve their life habits. Responsibilities include: Evaluation of new members including a standardized assessment with a formulation of a care plan Collaboration with supervising medical staff to develop and revise member care plans Individual Coaching through video/phone calls and app-based text messages Hosting web-based support meetings for Ria Members Documenting sessions into EMR and billing systems and verifying health insurance coverage Participation in program development: continuous learning, change advocacy, procedure development Qualifications: Member-Focused: you are naturally empathetic and always aim to gain the trust of the customer. Tech-savvy: you are quick and flexible when it comes to navigating web based systems. (e.g. Acuity, Stripe, EMR, Ria Health application) Highly organized, comfortable creating or improving systems Strong Communicator: you're adept at recognizing times when you can be casual and times that demand a more professional tone. You can switch between different writing 'voices’ with ease and quickly identify which is most appropriate for a given situation. Problem Solver: we’re not a one-answer-fits-all type of place. You are the type of person who enjoys the challenge of solving issues in a creative way. Strong Multitasker: there’s a lot going on around here. You should feel comfortable in an environment with competing priorities.
Required Qualifications: Full New York CASAC by April 1st Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications: Current Full New York CASAC Experience with EMR systems Experience with health insurance billing and patient advocacy Knowledgeable of SUD treatment programs and evidence-based outcomes data Spanish Language skills
