ITTIC trains and coaches identified individuals within an agency or community to become "trauma-informed care champions," who are then in a position to launch and continue the trauma-informed organizational change process.
Champions are often positioned in the role(s) of trainer, mentor, coach, consultant and role model in organizations. After being trained, they are able to bring information, resources and skills to others in the organization, train new hires and continue the trauma-informed change process for overall sustainability.
Who: Agencies/systems looking to develop leaders of trauma-informed care for overall sustainability. Champions can be developed within one agency or across multiple agencies in the community.
What: A minimum of a six-month learning collaborative consisting of a 7-hour “kick-off” training, monthly consultation for four months and a final four-hour training.
Where: ITTIC trainers will discuss a location for trainings with the agency(s) participating.
When: ITTIC trainers will discuss times for trainings with the agency(s) participating.
