The Institute on Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care provides research and training for organizations on trauma and trauma-informed care through evaluation, trauma-specific treatment interventions, technical assistance and consultation. We are unique because we are able to customize our services to meet the needs of each organization.

ITTIC trains and coaches identified individuals within an agency or community to become "trauma-informed care champions," who are then in a position to launch and continue the trauma-informed organizational change process.

The research team at the Institute on Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care provides agency assessments of trauma-informed care culture, climate, procedures and policies through online surveys of staff.
Practicing in the Community

ITTIC provides and trains professionals in Seeking Safety, an evidence-based intervention for individuals with trauma. Additionally, ITTIC has sponsored a variety of trainings for local professionals.
SAMHSA Training

ITTIC collaborates with a core group of local SAMHSA trainers who can provide a How Being Trauma-Informed Improves Criminal Justice System Responses training.

Consider Online Training

We offer online modules on trauma and trauma-informed care through our Online Trauma-Informed Course: Basics for all Staff.

This course examines how our systems can shift from thinking “What is wrong with this person?” to “What has happened to this person?” The online format allows you to educate and bring awareness to all levels of staff.  We strongly recommend seeking additional consultation with ITTIC to best tailor and apply the content within your organization.
