Evaluation of EPIC's Interventions with Parents and Children

children with homework

This evaluation strategy for EPIC’s interventions is aimed at enhancing the well being of families and the education potential for their children.

The main aim of the evaluation is to investigate the effectiveness of EPIC, i.e., the extent to which the project succeeds in having a positive impact on parenting strategies and the students’ educational performance. In addition, a formative evaluation will be conducted to investigate the implementation of the main components of the "ready, set, parent" and "ready, set, read" curriculum and other EPIC interventions. It will also demonstrate that these evaluation approaches can be integrated into the practice of EPIC’s regional school district based parent centers to provide an analysis of findings whenever required, in order to develop effective services for children and families and to respond to future funding opportunities.
