Trauma Trainings in Buffalo

Most live trauma trainings are held in Buffalo with a few in nearby areas of Western New York. We also offer online self-study trainings as part of our Trauma-Informed Certificate Programs. Online trauma trainings are available 365 days a year. Buffalo courses are offered at various times throughout the year. Trauma topics are designated as FoundationElectiveSkill Intervention, and Grounding and Experiential Methods workshops.

For the live trauma trainings: Most trainings are held in Buffalo or nearby areas of Western New York. Use the training title to open the details and links to registration. An immediate email confirmation is sent when you use a credit card or eCheck to register with UB's encrypted and secure online system. There is also a link to a registration form to print and mail if you are paying by check or money order.

Use this link for online self-study courses. Most courses are approved for NYSED social work self-study contact hours. Please be aware that only our Foundation online trauma courses will have NYSED LMHC, LCAT & LMFT self-study contact hours added as of 1/1/17. NYSED limits 1/3 of needed continuing education hours to self-study content (no access to the instructor at the time of the course; the rest of the hours must be live in person or live online).

Additional trauma training in Western New York: In addition to our courses below, we collaborate with Buffalo trauma therapist Annie Monaco, LCSW-R, and her co-trainers to market additional trauma trainings on select topics. These trainings are announced by email.  As specified in her brochures and marketing emails, these training hours may be applied to our trauma-informed certificate program for an additional fee. Contact us at sw-ce@buffalo.edu for the form with fee and instructions to apply these hours to our program.

2017 trauma trainings will appear when scheduled.
