Trauma topics for those in the certificate programs are designated as Foundation, Elective, Skill Intervention, and Grounding and Experiential Methods workshops.
For the live trauma trainings: Most trainings are held in Buffalo or nearby areas of Western NY. Use the training title to open the details and links to registration. An immediate email confirmation is sent when you use a credit card or eCheck to register with UB's encrypted and secure online system. There is also a link to a registration form to print and mail if you are paying by check or money order.
Additional trauma training in Western NY: In addition to our courses, we collaborate with other local trauma trainers to market additional trauma trainings on select topics. These trainings are announced by email. As specified in brochures and marketing emails, these training hours may be applied to our trauma-informed certificate program for an additional fee. The May 22, 2017 training on Trauma, Attachment, Affect Dysregulation and Shame: Treating the Seeds and the Cycle of Self-Destructive Behaviors with Lisa Ferentz, LCSW-C, is full and closed to additional registration. Please be aware that only our Foundation online trauma courses will have NYSED LMHC, LCAT & LMFT self-study contact hours added as of 1/1/17. NYSED limits 1/3 of needed continuing education hours to self-study content (no access to the instructor at the time of the course; the rest of the hours must be live in person or live online).
