Assistant Professor Jangmin Kim and colleagues published their work in the Journal of Public Child Welfare.

School of Social Work faculty members Michael Lynch and Elizabeth Bowen analyzed the program's effectiveness in helping students understand social problems, collaborate across disciplines and develop critical skills.

The University at Buffalo recognized 18 distinguished alumni from across campus, including School of Social Work grads Rita Andolina, Esther Annan and Elizabeth Woike-Ganga. 

PhD candidate Beth Tripi and Associate Professor Annette Semanchin Jones published their research in the Child and Adolescent Social Work Journal.

Associate Professor Annahita Ball co-authored studies in the journals Affilia and Advances in Social Work, discussing microaggressions experienced by employees of human service agencies and individuals in schools. 

Tyrone Reese, a student in the online MSW program, has been named Student of the Year by the New York State Social Work Education Association.

Congratulations to UB School of Social Work faculty members Todd Sage, Mickey Sperlich, Christopher St. Vil and Noelle M. St. Vil. 

The group is believed to be the largest cohort of new faculty at UB since the university joined SUNY in the 1960s.

Part of a historic UB faculty-hiring initiative, these scholars contribute to the school’s research in emerging technologies, children and families, homeless services, social policies, and trauma and human rights.
