Job Description: | Campus Advocates provide crisis intervention, case management, advocacy, and follow-up services to a small caseload of survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and/or stalking across local college campus. They collaborate with police (campus and local), district attorneys, and other campus-based and/or community-based agencies to serve student and staff survivors. This position is also responsible for developing and implementing data-driven prevention education curricula, as well as social media content, to promote social norms and build capacity to foster a community of hopefulness, safety, and shared responsibility to prevent interpersonal violence across the Social Ecological Model (SEM). |
Required Qualifications: | Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree from an accredited college and/or university in human service field, public health, social work or education. A minimum of 6 months’ relevant work experience preferably providing direct services in domestic/sexual violence response and/or prevention work. Experience in public speaking, community education, or training facilitation strongly preferred. Ability to work with and mobilize a wide variety of stakeholders and experience in higher education a plus. Experience relating to and engaging with diverse populations in a variety of settings. Valid NYS driver’s license is required with a clean driving record and access to reliable automobile. |
Rate of Pay: | $21.61 - $25.30 per hour |
