| Job Description: | Gateway-Longview is hiring dedicated personnel through a grant from the Dave Thomas Foundation to be responsible for facilitating matches of children freed for adoption with appropriate families by utilizing Child-Focused Recruitment Strategies. This position will also: - Gather information on the child and building an in depth history of the case to seek out all potential matches for the child. - Ensure all contacts, documentation, reviews, reports and all other required items are up to date. - Trained on and follows the Wendy’s Wonderful Recruiter Child-Focused Recruitment Strategy. - Assess the child’s strengths, challenges, desires, and preparedness for adoption. Ensure that a plan is developed to work with the youth on the challenges and follow the youth’s desires for a match. - Develop a comprehensive recruitment plan based on audits, file reviews, and interviews. - Conducts diligent searches for potential adoptive families. - Ensure transition planning is complete and that both the child and family are prepared for the adoption finalization. - Documents all recruitment efforts in Child Trends through Wendy’s Wonderful Kids. - Completes a bi-annual report for Wendy’s Wonderful Kids to include statistical information to reflect the population served along with narratives to highlight successful matches. - Advocates for a diverse population of resources for the children in the community. - Completes agency required reporting on a quarterly basis to include additional statistical information. |
| Required Qualifications: | Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related human service field and have adoption experience. |
| Preferred Qualifications: | Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field. 2 years child welfare experience in the adoption area is preferred. |
| Rate of Pay: | Starting pay for Bachelors Degree: $15.90/hour Starting pay for Masters Degree: $17.69/hour Offers above the base are dependent upon years of applicable experience. |
