| Job Description: | Department within Gateway Longview: Behavioral Health Services (Community Based) As a Preventive Services Caseworker with Gateway Longview, you will use your experience in social work and human services to support families in the community. You will provide outreach and enrollment services to children who meet eligibility requirements. Communication, collaboration, and cultural sensitivity will be your keys to success. As a Preventive Caseworker, you should expect to: •Provide collaborative case planning services to families referred through ECDSS •Work collaboratively with referral sources and service providers to ensure efforts towards permanency goal •Maintain regular contact and rapport with each family •Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of progress notes, reports and evaluations An ideal Caseworker will... •Be an effective relationship builder and coach •Be detail oriented with excellent time management skills •Empower families to self-advocate •Have experience engaging families with complex issues during times of crisis •Be bilingual (A bonus! | Required Qualifications: | Non-negotiable – if you are applying you MUST: •Have a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience within Social Work, Health & Human Services or Behavioral Health •Have a valid NYS Driver’s License and your own vehicle with adequate insurance and registration •Be flexible with your schedule – evening and weekend appointments are essential •Have an unwavering ability to demonstrate Gateway Longview’s mission and core values effectively with clients, families, other staff and community contacts from a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds |
