| Job Description: | The Executive Director, working in close partnership with the GLYS Board of Directors, is responsible for the organization’s achievement of its mission and financial objectives. The Executive Director will guide the growth of the organization in all areas, including development, strategic initiatives and advocacy. |
| Preferred Qualifications: | • Bachelor’s degree in business, human service, public administration, sociology, social work, or related field • 5+ years of non-profit work-related experience, including executive level experience. • Experience in identifying, developing and managing strategies for community change. • Demonstrated success in fundraising and donor development. • Demonstrated success in advocacy efforts. • Computer literacy, financial literacy, strong written and verbal skills. • Public relations, community engagement and marketing skills. • Vision, initiative, ability to self-monitor and multi-task under pressure. • Successful experience working with a volunteer board. • Commitment to mission and vision of the organization. |
