Job Description: Oversees the day to day operations of licensed residential programs providing services to adult consumers with a mental health diagnosis. Manages a team of Site Managers who are responsible for overall client care and facility maintenance within assigned residence sites. Assures that site and documentation standards are met. Inspects facilities on a regular basis and report necessary repairs and equipment replacement in a timely manner. Assures that restorative services are provided to adults residing in an OMH licensed group home according to regulatory guidelines. Develop and maintain effective working relationships between and among residence staff and other service providers. Initiates emergency procedures when indicated, including utilization of police, Crisis Services and other emergency personnel, as appropriate. Assures necessary and appropriate coverage at all times. Provides ongoing feedback to staff regarding work performance; provide guidance to staff in identifying areas of substandard performance and in developing a plan for corrective action, where applicable. A willingness to work weekends and overtime when necessary. Be available for on-call rotation based on business needs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field plus one (1) year paid experience working with individuals with handicapping disabilities; or, Associate's degree in Human Services plus three (3) years’ experience as above; or, High School diploma plus five (5) years’ experience as above comprehensive assessment and evaluation, care planning and coordination, outreach and crisis intervention, linkage to medical, financial, social, rehabilitation and psychiatric services, advocacy, development of social supports and procurement of needed resources. A minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising staff providing care to persons with mental illness, chemical dependency, developmental disabilities or a chronic medical condition. Preference will be given to candidates licensed to practice in NYS (i.e LCSW/LMSW/LMHC). Applicant must have must have a car and a valid NYS drivers’ license. Must undergo and pass a criminal background check.
