Laura Lewis.

Congratulations to Director of Field Education Laura Lewis and colleagues on their report, “State of Field Education Survey: A Survey of Directors of Field Education on Administrative Models, Staffing and Resources" which was released by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

Fisher, W., Holmes, J., & Lewis, L. (2018). State of Field Education Survey: A Survey of Directors of Field Education on Administrative Models, Staffing, and Resources. Retrieved from the Council on Social Work Education.

This report is an overview of the 2015 State of Field Education survey that was completed. It is representative of an undertaking to help understand the differences that are found in the field education section of various social work programs. There is discussion about the differences in the field program structure, the resources available and comparisons between the position of coordinator and director. The authors hope that this report will help to build groundwork that will allow people to continue to explore how field education differences can affect the quality of field learning and instruction.
