In response to the evolving situation with COVID-19, those licensees whose registrations are due to renew March 1, 2020 – January 1, 2023, the New York State Education Department's Office of Professions will grant an adjustment to all licensees to complete up to 100% of the continuing education as self-study, provided that it is taken from a Department-approved provider and is in an acceptable subject area for the specific profession.
The UB School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education is a NYSED Office of Professions approved provider and ensures all training topic areas are consistent with the requirements for NYS LMSW, LCSW, LCAT, LMHC, LMFT and Psychology. We encourage everyone to visit our self-study catalog and live online catalog so that we may continue to assist you in your professional development during these uncertain times.
For the most up-to-date information on NYS licensing requirements, visit the NYSED Office of Professions website.
