Self-Study Trainings

Our online training catalog details a wide range of self-study courses that can be taken at your pace.

The NYS Education Department states: "Self-study may comprise no more than twelve hours of continuing education in any three-year registration period, or one-third of the hours for a registration period other than three years."

Our self-study catalog features over 250 courses in more than 70 topic areas, including Anxiety, Attachment Theory, Depression and Mood Disorders, Mindfulness, Neuroscience and Neuropsychology, Trauma and PTSD.

Advantages to our self-study courses include:
  • Study on your schedule: Self-study Digital Seminar online courses can effectively deliver content in a convenient manner for your schedule. Courses are available in audio or video formats and your course access never expires.
  • Learn from the best: Courses are presented by a wide selection of state, national and international experts. Self-study courses do not include contact with the instructor.
  • CEs/Contact Hours: Most courses have CEs (contact hours), including those for New York licensed LMSWs, LCSWs, LMHCs, LCATs and LMFTs. Only a third of the previously listed licensed professions' CEs are permitted to be self-study. CEs listed will print out on your certificate of completion. Check the credit tab before you purchase a course to ensure it offers the CEs you need.
