The field educator reception is an annual event held by the School of Social Work to honor the significant contributions made by all of our field educators who supervise students in their field placements as part of the MSW program.
It is an opportunity to express our appreciation for their commitment to our students, our school and to the social work profession.
The 2017 Field Education Reception was held on May 4 at The Twentieth Century Club.
Each year at this event an award for Outstanding Achievement in Field Education is given to a field educator.
The 2016-2017 award recipient for Outstanding Achievement in Field Education is Ronald Schoelerman, LCSW, Erie County Department of Mental Health.
Students are invited to nominate their field educators for this prestigious award based on established criteria relating to their characteristics in the role as field educator. All nominees are acknowledged and honored at the reception.
2018 Reception to be held Thursday, May 3, 2018.
