through the UB School of Social Work.
In addition to the resources in this section, UB Information
Technology’s (UBIT) Information for Students website provides
details about how to access, manage and troubleshoot university
Before you purchase software for your coursework, review the free software you may access as a University
at Buffalo student, including Symantec anti-virus software and
Microsoft Office. Software is available for both Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
Help Desk provides assistance in accessing UBIT services,
including help with password issues and other general computing
questions. The Help Desk is located on the second floor Cybrary of
Memorial Library on the UB North Campus. Each semester, the
office’s walk-in service hours are posted on the UBIT Help Desk Service Hours website.

As a UB student, you are responsible for following the
technology policies. This includes ensuring that your
computer’s operating system is up to date and your anti-virus
software is current.
Each Master of Social Work (MSW) student is automatically
subscribed to the MSW listserv, a mailing list used to send
important email notifications. You will receive listserv messages
at your UBmail address.
