Melanie Sage.

Congratulations to Assistant Professor Melanie Sage on the success of her article, "A Love Letter to Social Workers on the Front Lines of COVID-19," posted on LinkedIn. It is a moving tribute to all of those social workers who are out there fighting along with the rest of the essential workers. It has been shared and liked on social media countless times.

Sage says, “Social Workers are there to make life worth living.” They help pick up the pieces of grief and fear and weave it into an armor of hope for those in need of it. During this time of crisis, there are thousands of people showing up every day, putting others before themselves, fighting this pandemic, and Dr. Sage does an incredible job of reminding us all of the vital role that social workers play in this time of crisis, as well as the roles they will continue to play as a world tries to heal from such grief.
