Welcome to the Wellness Project where you will be taken on a journey to increase your knowledge and understanding of the mind-body connection and create a plan that works for you.

What will my employees get out of this course?

Our goal is to help you bring wellness to the workplace. In supporting the overall wellness of your employees you are reducing their stress levels, and improving collaboration and productivity. This program will help you and your employees recognize what mental health and wellness really is, when it’s time to reach out for help, and to reduce the stigma of mental health and mental health treatment from both the individual and organizational levels to create more compassionate and supportive home and working environments. We hope you and your staff will join us on this journey.

Why does it matter?

Impact of Stress

  • 83% of US workers suffer from work-related stress. (Everest College, 2013)
  • Workers claim stress and anxiety to be the #1 factor affecting work productivity and coworker relations. (ADAA, 2006)
  • Companies spend around 75% of a worker’s annual salary to cover lost productivity or to replace workers. (HuffPost, 2016)
  • Stress causes around 1 million workers to miss work every day. (American Institute of Stress, 2020)

Benefits of a Wellness Program

  • “For every US $1 put into scaled-up treatment for common mental disorders, there is a return of US $4 in improved health and productivity.” (WHO, 2021)
  • Well-implemented workplace health programs can lead to 25% savings each on absenteeism, health care costs, and workers’ compensation and disability management claims costs (CDC, 2015)
  • Prioritizing the mental and emotional wellbeing of employees will increase profit, improve lives, and transform culture. (Jones, 2016)
  • Providing generous wellness benefits also helps to attract and retain employees (LaVito, 2018)
