Buffalo Business First interviewed Wooksoo Kim, associate professor and director of the School of Social Work’s Immigrant and Refugee Research Institute, for a story about how immigrants are changing Buffalo neighborhoods and contributing to the city’s resurgence.
“The arrival of newcomers, such as refugees, to Buffalo and Western New York has significantly contributed to economic growth and stabilization in recent years,” Kim said. “This growth would not have been possible without them, given the decades of population decline.”
