Welcome to the UB School of Social Work

In the University at Buffalo School of Social Work, we live our values and actively work to solve social problems we are passionate about.

Since 1934, UB has educated social work practitioners and scholars who empower vulnerable populations, advocate for social justice and lead the profession. With curricula guided by trauma-informed and human rights perspectives, we offer a variety of graduate programs leading to Master of Social Work (MSW), Doctor of Social Work (DSW) and PhD in Social Welfare degrees. The UB School of Social Work is ranked in the top 25 schools of social work by U.S. News & World Report and is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
