Whether you are looking for professional development, fulfilling your licensure requirements or strengthening your MSW application, our elective courses are a great way to expand your knowledge and skills.
We offer a variety of elective courses each fall, spring and summer semester in seated, hybrid and fully online formats. These options are available to current UB School of Social Work students, as well as to human services professionals and others who may wish to further their education as a non-matriculated/non-degree student.
CEUs for NY LMSWs and LCSWs are available for select MSW elective courses. Upon completion of your course, you may use the Application to Request New York LMSW & LCSW Continuing Education Hours for MSW Elective Courses to request your certificate.
If you are a current UB social work student, you can register for elective courses the same way you register for all your other classes.
If you are not a current UB social work student, you must apply for non-degree status before you can register for elective courses.
