Professional development, licensure requirement, MSW application strengthening — no matter what the reason, an online elective course is a great way to take advantage of a flexible, high-quality learning opportunity. Whether you are an MSW student, applicant or already a human service professional, we invite you to become a part of the UB School of Social Work family.
We offer a variety of elective courses each fall, spring and summer semester in seated, hybrid and fully online formats. These options are also available to non-matriculated/non-degree students.
CEUs for NY LMSWs and LCSWs are available for select MSW elective courses. Upon completion of your course, you may use the Application to Request New York LMSW & LCSW Continuing Education Hours for MSW Elective Courses to request your certificate.
If you are a current UB social work student, register for elective courses in the same manner that you register for all of your other classes.
If you are not a current UB social work student, you will need to apply for non-degree status before you can register for elective courses.
