| Position Title: | New American Integration - New Arrivals Intern |
| Service Commitment Details: | 8 – 10 hours per week / a minimum of 4 hour blocks |
| Position Location: | 864 Delaware Ave, Buffalo NY 14209 |
| Position Description: | Interns work with the New Arrivals Specialist to provide initial housing acquisition and services to newly arrived refugee clients through a mix of field and administrative work. |
| Required Qualifications: | • Ability to provide a “trauma-informed” approach and sensitivity to working with refugees and other vulnerable populations • Knowledge of diverse cultures and/or willingness to learn cultural customs • Access to a car/reliable transportation • Good speaking, writing and listening skills • Adherence to confidentiality policies • Willingness to do physical work and ability to lift 10 – 20 pounds • Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate home setups |
