Environmental pollution and generational trauma in Niagara Falls

An article in Inside Climate News — reporting on environmental pollution, generational trauma and the mental health crisis in Niagara Falls — highlights the work of the UB School of Social Work’s Institute on Trauma and Trauma-Informed Care (ITTIC) to build a Student Champion Team in Niagara Falls High School. Through the Champion Team, students meet with ITTIC “twice a month to learn about trauma, its causes and how to be sensitive when discussing traumatic experiences.”
