Field Educator Reception

Outstanding Field Educator Award Clock.

The field educator reception is an annual event held by the School of Social Work to honor the significant contributions made by all of our field educators who supervise students in their field placements as part of the MSW program.

It is an opportunity to express our appreciation for their commitment to our students, our school and to the social work profession.

The 2021 Field Education Reception will be held virtually due to the COVID19 crisis.

Each year at this event an award for Outstanding Achievement in Field Education is given to a field educator.

The 2020-21 award recipients for Outstanding Achievement in Field Education are:

  • Rachel McCarley, LCSW, Buffalo Public Schools
  • Joelle Conant, LCSW, Family Counseling Services of Cortland County, Inc. (Online Program)

Students are invited to nominate their field educators for this prestigious award based on established criteria relating to their characteristics in the role as field educator. All nominees are acknowledged and honored at the reception.
