Celebration of Classroom and Practicum Instruction
We are delighted to announce a new event that celebrates the amazing instruction of our students — both in practicum and the classroom.
This special event, known as the Celebration of Classroom and Practicum Instruction, is dedicated to honoring and appreciating the remarkable contributions of our educators and will provide an opportunity to celebrate together as full-time faculty, part-time faculty and practicum educators.
Each year, we recognize our practicum educators with the Outstanding Achievement in Practicum Education award. The 2025-26 award recipients are:
- Dior Lindsey-Virgil, LMSW - The Osborne Association – Osborne Buffalo
- Donna Nickelberry, LICSW, MSW, MHP – Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care (Online Program)
Students are invited to nominate their educators for this prestigious award based on established criteria related to their role as educator. All nominees are acknowledged and honored at the celebration.
Outstanding Practicum Educator Award Nominations
Nominations typically open in February and close April 1. Students will receive an email in Sonia with instructions on how to nominate their practicum educator or task supervisor.
The recipient(s) will be announced prior to the Celebration in May.
