SW 620 Stakeholder Mapping and Needs Assessment in Pre-Implementation Planning

3 credits

In this course, students will begin the process of identifying their substantive area of focus and engaging in pre-implementation planning. Students will conduct a needs assessment in their practice settings, with the goal of bridging the research to practice gap.  Students will establish a professional collaboration network (PCN) as a platform for knowledge development and translation. We will consider how PCNs can be utilized to interact, collaborate, and strategize with a diverse range of stakeholders holding expertise in students’ substantive areas. Using a range of technologies, students will learn to evaluate and assess information obtained from key stakeholders through a trauma-informed human rights (TIHR), racial trauma, and liberation lens, with an emphasis on ethics and accessibility.
