Our Resources:

PowerPoint Templates

Streamline your presentation slideshow — and keep it consistent with UB brand guidelines — by using our PowerPoint templates.

Research Poster Templates

Presenting research findings at an academic meeting? Use UB-branded templates to create your poster. Print and digital templates are available in various sizes via the links below.

For best results, print your research poster through University Print Services. This is UB's preferred, on-campus vendor with lower costs than outside vendors and an experienced staff to help you.

The following templates have been adjusted for accessibility. Please update alt text and labels when you personalize the content.

A second research poster design, prominently featuring the UB crest, is also available at the link below in multiple sizes for both print and digital displays.

Digital Letterhead

Customize this letterhead for your digital stationery needs. The link below includes options for a second page with or without our logo.

Branded Flyer Templates

Promote an upcoming event or share other key content with one of these versatile and easy-to-use templates.

Printed Stationery Items

University stationery is a tangible expression of our brand identity. These standardized designs ensure consistency and impact in our print communications. Please work with Resource Management to order stationery items, including business cards, letterhead, envelopes and memo pads.

Email Signature Recommendations

The emails you send from your buffalo.edu account come from you, but they also represent UB and the School of Social Work. As part of the UB's identity strategy, a cohesive approach to email signatures is essential to projecting institutional excellence. To help maintain consistency and professionalism in faculty and staff email signatures, please adhere to these best practices and standards:

  • Think of your email signature as a digital business card that provides relevant contact information, ideally in fewer than eight lines. Name, title(s), department or unit, university and school name, telephone number and office address are appropriate to include.
  • Only include web links that are directly related to your professional role(s) at UB. Use simple URLs, without “http://www” (ex: socialwork.buffalo.edu).
  • Choose appropriate text styling to ensure readability. While plain text is ideal in most instances, if you choose to use rich text (to bold, italicize, underline, etc.) use Arial or Georgia.
  • If desired, include relevant social media accounts in text only, without icons. Only include accounts that are affiliated with UB, the School of Social Work or your department or professional role. You should only include a personal account if you use it primarily to promote your academic or professional expertise and your profile contains a disclaimer stating that your opinions are your own and do not express those of your employer.
  • Include your pronouns to demonstrate our inclusive environment.
  • Do not use quotes, aphorisms or other personal statements, which may be objectionable to some recipients and may be misconstrued as the university’s official position. Use of officially sanctioned university statements or slogans (e.g., “Go Bulls!” or “New York’s Public Powerhouse”) is permissible.
  • Consider including a brief confidentiality clause if warranted by the nature of your communications. For example: Confidentiality Notice: The contents of this email and any attachments are intended solely for the addressee(s) and may contain confidential and/or privileged information and may be legally protected from disclosure.
  • Do not include graphics or stationery backgrounds in your signature. These elements are often inaccessible for individuals relying on assistive technology, and are often treated as attachments, clogging a recipient’s inbox or causing your email to be filtered as spam. Furthermore, images may not display properly in some email programs, resulting in a distorted or confusing image that is not consistent with the university’s brand.
